Karashamb 2014, Tomb 685

General Info

1. Chamber: rectangular, subterranean, natural burial, 1.80 x 1.15 x 1.91 m.
2. The longitudinal axis is oriented north-southeast.
3. The tomb is covered with large basalt stones
4. External structures: the cromlech is circular, built out of basalt stones and measures 5.10 m. in diameter.
5. Human remains: the deceased is a male 18-24 years of age. His head was oriented south looking east, his hands and feet were bent (the long bones of his right leg were missing), he was lying on his right side in the western section of the burial chamber.
6. Burial goods: 5 clay vessels and a bone brooch.
7. Additional information: pottery fragments, two obsidian arrow heads, and a bronze ring were found in the fill covering the burial chamber. Besides the main burial, in the burial chamber two intrusive burials were recorded.
