Karashamb 2010, Tomb 44

General Info

  1. Chamber: rectangular, subterranean, natural burial, 1.85 x 1.00 x 1.12 m.
  2. The longitudinal axis is oriented northeast-southwest.  
  3. The tomb was covered with basalt slabs.  
  4. External structure: the tomb is encircled by a basalt cromlech measuring 4.00 x 4.70 m.  
  5. Human remains: fragmented skull and disarticulated long bones. The head was oriented south. The bones were lying along the axis of the chamber.
  6. Burial goods: 3 ceramic vessels and 1 bronze dagger.
  7. Additional information: numerous pottery fragments were found in the tomb and the fill of the tomb.
